  1. Good hit L, all I know is it goes well, looks great and costs me loads. Happy camper. Can I be the leader of the our new non-techie club cos I've got I'm a grown up and have a TT... I'll get me coat
  2. No offence taken in the slightest. I was just gutted I couldn't see the joke. I love you guys...
  3. Haha. No probs Ian, I didn't know it was 6 cylinder or know what a cylinder is/does. But I see how it would funny to the Supra Engine Fans. Feel free to hit me with cheap shots.. best time to kick a man, is when he's down. Flip, did you know the Supra was 6 cylinder?
  4. Anyone elaborate at the Brads stoopid gag. I hold my hands up, i've not got a clue about cars. I'm not annoyed, far from it. I'm intrigued by the 'hilarious' path this thread took, after my 'foolish' spark plug question. Left handed glass hammer anyone?
  5. Cheers lads, most helpful.
  6. How often should they be replaced? Any particular brand? How many is there? How would you know that a Supra needs its sparks replacing.
  7. No buzzers at all 93 j spec. Lights turn themselves off when door turning engine off and opening door.
  8. Ad how much did it cost? Are you getting a loud sound? Any real performance bens? Mi curious/stupid.
  9. Track days are going to be fun when it comes to having a drive of otehr members cars. "Shit, here's Barry... Run like f**K " Sincerely, sorry to hear about your turbo's Barry. The hybrids do rock though.
  10. I've seen your number 2 lee. Impressive! Not as impressive as some on offer at www.ratemypoo.com "Step away from the keyboard with your hands above your head" I'll be hijacking then
  11. You led me astray.. 2 TT's on that stretch. Forgive me Lord for I have sinned. Count me in on the boost gauge.
  12. I'd also budget for a race harnesses and an ejector seat if you go the hybrid route. Tidy.
  13. Barry, That sounds very similar to my rectified problem. The best sign is no blue, black smoke. Fingers crossed for you. I know the feeling.
  14. I'm not one for burning bridges nor crossing bridges that don't stand up.. Lesson learned. I've just had Dr Boost (Lee Burley) text in to check that his patient is still boosting. Nothing like after care.
  15. Everyone who offered sound advice. And of course the big man Lee Burley for allowing me to knock him up at 8am on a Bank holiday Friday to sort it. 30 seconds to diagnose the fault. 30 minutes to fix it. Blown off hose.. Lee can perhaps elaborate. Lee also taught me 6 things today 1) My Toyota Dealership is a bit dissapointing having had my car for 10 days. Unable to diagnose repair problem 2) UK Brakes are amazing 3) HKS stuff rocks 4) Use Optimax 5) How to find Lee's house from mine. 6) Don't race a stock versus hybrids, you will lose All in all a great day. Thanks Lee. (Edited by Bradb at 2:51 pm on Mar. 29, 2002)
  16. 65 miles.. Lee if you can meet me Friday, Saturday or Sunday game on.. I'll even throw in lunch.
  17. Thanks Ian. Bristolish.. Its 4h45m away and 265 miles according to autoroute. Thats some journey limping... Any advance (decrease) on that? Thanks for all your help guys...
  18. Struggling to get someone in my vicinity that can isolate and sort this problem. Does anyone know of anyone who could have a look Saturday morning and if its a hose related problem help buy and replace in the afternoon? Ideally this Saturday? I'll travel and of course pay. Mr Boostless.
  19. Love it.. Good call ian. just had a look at all those big pipe things nad they were loose.. Tightend em up.. still not boosting properly. Need to get replacement hoses.. Part numbers please kids.. of the 3 big hoses. Ta. Back online Thursday evening.
  20. You lads are superb. Really. Is there any other references that will help my guy who knows his way around cars find what he's looking for? Thanks so very much. Armed with that, it'll be a CTRL-P moment. Cheers, (Edited by Bradb at 2:23 pm on Mar. 26, 2002)
  21. Cheers Ian. Superb. I know what a socket set is for, of course. But I meant in terms of this job. I've a friend who owns garage complete with hydralic ramps, is it an under car job, or through the bonnet? I'm just after any further advice/pointers that will help him have a look as I'll print out this thread. Thanks Ian/guys.
  22. Hiya kids, Ian I wouldn't know if its FMIC or stock. Toyota dealership, have just rang me, they can't fix it! Madness, so I've gotta find someone who can sort it. Gutted. How big a job is it man hours wise? What kinda cost is it likely to incur? Socket set was mentioned.. Whats it needed for? Yours stumped and gutted, (Edited by Bradb at 12:14 pm on Mar. 26, 2002)
