  1. Oh the humour Havard Any links to Graham's S's car? Maybe this calls for the phrase "Read It And Weep". That would be the phrase for that Gaz
  2. Is that an import? I think it is. If it is read the topic at the top no imports lol. TheChin comes from my nickname of "Chin" as i broke my chin a while back in a club rumble and now i can dislocate it at will. Very wierd? Deep pockets but have other things to buy cant go all out on the car and be too skint to afford what i want for it.
  3. Correction. £1400 a year fully comp
  4. Been looking for about 3 ever since i took the decision to buy one. Basically im only 20 and been driving a year which some might say im too young for insurance. But its only £1400 a month and im paying £1690 for a 2litre SRI-Turbo. If i get an import it goes up to over £3000 per year, even tho the cars are cheaper thats too extreme. Even for a cheap junkyard dog it could be a good project as long as its a realistic one.
  5. Morning Everyone, Been in work for a very long time and its only 8am, what a bad life i lead. Anyway to the point. Pretty much sold my car and just waiting for the bloke to get the cash, less than 3 weeks im told. I've been looking for a supra (non import) Twin Turbo, manual or auto i dont mind. But a UK TT manual with good mileage is like a golden nugget! You have a for-sale section but what about Wanted section for cars? Even if the car is in a bad state, needs bodywork etc but has a class engine tell me about it. I can get it resprayed for next to nothing but anything sound engine wise is awesome. People say about getting an engine rebuild on the high mileage TT's, is this too much hassle tho? Cheers for all that look, all answers will be appreciated even if not relevant
  6. Does it still dump in automatic? I know someone else who has an automatic turbo and it doesnt.
  7. Thanks alot, got 2 booked for sunday, a full manual and auto so shall post my results here
  8. This manual option, is that up and down shift like in the old accords? Does that come with all automatics?
  9. Does the automatic still perform the same as the manual?
  10. Hey all, Currently looking to buy a supra in the next month or so. It seems quite hard to find a TT thats manual. I heard that its a case of the ECU and the gear linkage? Anything cosmetic i can deal with but engine/gearbox i'm a little bit baffled. Is there any companies that offer this as a service or will this be a collection of parts and done by a garage. Is it as easy as i think it is or is the Automatic good enough? If someone has a review on both that would help as i wouldnt change if it was damn good enough. Is there any change lag with the auto, is the kickdown good? Thanks in advance. I tried to search for something relevant but couldn't find anything so sorry if this is a duplicate thread. New to these forums. Thanks again
  11. Thanks everyone for a quick reply. I will be giving you a call hopefully shortly. Again can i ask about the price. Is it £700 for each or package. Thanks
  12. What i mean to say is 18x7.5 on the front and 18x9.0 on the back. Would that work without rubbing. I dont want to stay stock.
  13. Hey all, This might sound like a nooby thread and it most probably is but im looking for info about wheel sizes for the Supra. I currently have an Astra GSI with the standard wheels, as they are they are perfect for the car. In about 2 weeks im getting my lovely and sexy white UK TT to add to my car collection. I want to go all out with the wheel package and have been checking lots of sites, mainly envy with my bank balance quivering at every page refresh. I've been mainly looking at Rays DR505. I want to go for a quite wide front and crazy wide back. Engines and everything else i can get my head around but wheels baffle the hell out of me. What can the supra's take on the back with out either forcing or rubbing. I had 19s on my Astra once and tbh never again, for the arch space it had it never stopped rubbing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've come to comprehend that price is per wheel, or is that for the set (bank hopes it is) but nether the less i have the cash for it just the GF wont get any presents. Thanks alot in advance, Speak soon.
