  1. anyone know of one for sale or how much i should be expecting to pay
  2. forget about rotary polishing mate .its to severe for a beginner .an get yourself a meguiars da polisher, its more user friendly an will give you excellent results, but some medium an some finishing heads an some megs show car shine pure machine polish as a starter then onto a polymer sealant for a finisher an a layer of megs pure carnuba to finish. there are guides available on detailing world
  3. i am from west lothian too, you might have seen my supe going about, i do most of my work myself but if your looking for a good garage go to hypertec at bonnyridge, much better than the garage an reasonable too, i hear nothing but good about them. the garage mainly specialises in skylines at the mo. let me know how ya get on oh an by the way forget about crd without jamesie they are a waste of time, i think jamesie is startin work for CARS bodyshop. if you pop into CARS at east calder an ask for scot he will point you in the right direction.
  4. where can i buy a 3" centre pipe to connect a SUPER MOTORIA BRAND" TRD GEN II STYLE back box up to my standard cats, or am i going to have to make one, and before you all tell me its cxxp i got the thing for next to nothing an tbh the tig welding on it looks really good, i just wanna buy a centre pipe an slap it all together as i can.t be bothered fabricating a new pipe the now as i am lazy any help appreciated guys cheers
  5. i have got the chargespeed 2 an my shut lines are perfect, had to remove the catches an modify the landing panel though, but worth it in the end, will post pics if ya want
  6. they clip onto the wipers so no need to drill holes in your new bonnet mate, i have them and they are great, 4 jet holes on each arm
  7. so are you taking the car up to Crail on sunday for thr bora bora japfest meet
  8. just another note: doesn't do it whilst in manu mode,
  9. well i am gonna try the fluid change first an then if it comes to it or the problem becomes worse then i may take the box apart myself(i am heavy plant engineer to trade) have done a few earthmover autoboxes so how hard can a supra be.... the ones i normally do have 16 fwd an 16 rev gears
  10. i'll do an oil change on the box an see if it helps, if it comes to it i'll ditch the auto an source myself a manual box from somewhere, thanks for the replies guys
  11. is it possible for the auto box to slip as when i hit the kickdown the engine revs rise by about 2k but the car doesn't get any faster for about 2 secs or so an then off it goes .its almost the same feeling as you get when the clutch is starting to slip in a manual
  12. not by a considerable amount but by a good 20bhp or so, still messing with different spring rates in the bov just now to try an get it sealing the boost proper, but looking like i'll just have to put the stock bov back on full time
  13. i have the chargespeed on mines, the problem is that the two loops on the front of the bonnet that locate into your supras catches are to long making the bonnet sit too high at the front, either cut an re -weld them or modify the latch assemblies to suit(which i have done) its a s**t of a job to be honest, an for 400 quid i expect more

    Cheap Alloys

same problem as you mate, jaero ruff i think the wheels are called, i have just had to rub the lip on all four back to the alloy, re polish an then seal with some jetseal 109, it will cost you about 30 quid all in for materials an about a day or 2s work, oh an the lip is not chrome, it's just highly polished alloy that looks like a stainless lip but isn't, you'll find that out if you decide to re -furb them yourself, they come up like new after the sanding down an a polish, bleeding fingers time again though
  15. just pull of the knob and there is a nut at the back of it which you then loosen to remoce the switch, i just got my dash painted at c.a.r.s bodyshop in scotland for 70 quid, baby blue with ice blue metalflake the same as my car, looks great when your all done
  16. hi mate they are only five minutes from my house, i have seen quite a lot of there work, usually its pretty top knotch, mostly they are manufacturers of aftermarket leather seat covers but they do retrims as an extra, lookin forward to seing the outcome as i asked them for a price on my supra about 6 months ago an they wanted 1400 quid, but i suppose it depends on the materials and style your after
  17. i am in the middle of doing my wheels the now also, what did you use to protect the polished rim when you were finished, did you spray laquer it or use a sealant,
  18. where is it, because my interior light and my headlamps left on alarm are both not working, i am assuming they are on the same circuit
  19. how do you take of the panel on the drivers door which contains the windows and door lock switches, i am wanting to send it for painting
  20. when i rev my engine to about 3k the piston in the bov is full open, i am assuming the spring is knackered,,,,, does anyone have any experience with these bov failing
  21. well thankfully it wasn't the turbo's or the intercooler, it was my blitz dump valve passing air whilst the car is on boost from about 3k upwards , why it was doing this i do not know, i have stripped it down and all looks fine inside it, the only thing i can think of is that the spring has become weak, anyone got any ideas what caused it to do this as it was working fine for the last 8 months
  22. mines sounds like the one in the video but its a jspec an its really low mileage so don't think its the turbos, also i am still getting full boost and have a blitz dump valve fitted already so i know its not the factory re circ valve either, wil just have to keep searching the engine bay for the noise, also it only seems to happen when your driving and come onto boost all the way up to full boost
  23. hi guys. something in#s wrong wi my sup twin turbo, the boost is reading fine but when its on full boost at about 11 or so psi i get a howling sound like there is a werewolf trapped under the bonnet, i am thinking burst boost hose or intercooler, what do you guys think, also it sounds like its from the nearside/ or drivers side if you prefer
