  4. Hi mate, I bought "rear calipers" from auto gap spares....but when they arrived it was just the calipers with the main piston not the 'slider' parts so hoping they are sold separately! I will have a search for caliper slider and see what I come up with Cheers buddy!!
  5. Hi everyone, I have recently had my drivers side rear caliper sieze on me....the part i need is in the picture i have provided but have no idea what it is called, where i can get it, or how much they cost.....any help in this matter will be gratefully received!!! its the small piston part that is seized, did get it apart but extremely rusty so will need a new one/ or second hand part if anyone has one sitting in their garage also is it worth replacing both sides rather than one?? many thanks Jim

  9. Hi guys, One of my rear brake callipers have siezed it looks as my brake disc is staying rusty after a drive so looks like i am going to need a new one though might as well replace the set incase the other one does the same? is it a case of a new set or is this a common problem which can be resolved with WD-40 and rubber mallet lol Any ideas? or does anyone have a set? and possible cost? Jim
  10. I was gonna say...check the battery! mine was doing exactly the same when i got back from canada after being out there for a month....loss of power at lights, radio. that clicking noise as it was trying to sart, indicators flashing.........went charged my battery, and now starts absolutely fine! Jim
  11. Hey, I found the HB3's in my boot and they fitted in the headlight unit :-) Nic....i did have to cut out the lugs inside the bulb for it to connect onto the connector! thanks for the heads up on that one! cheers! all lights working fine......thank you all for your help in the matter Jim
  12. thankyou for the link... ...so for my jspec i don't need HB4 bulbs at all?? only HB3's? how come HB3's are the same bulb for main beam and full beam? aren't full beams suppose to be brighter? or is that down to the way the heandlight diffuses the light? i do have two spare HB3's in my boot so i will give that a go! jim
  13. Hi peeps, I have just bought set of headlight bulbs for my mkiv supra the bulb model numbers for headlights i found were HB4 for main beam and HB3 are for the full beams? is this correct? the problem i found is that the HB4 do not seem to fit, i found on closer inspection that the o-ring seal on the bulb that goes into the main headlight unit are too big and the only way they will fit is to take the o-ring off and file the diameter down to fit the headlight opening! my question is.....firstly has anyone else found this problem? and is it a simple fact that the imported supras (with the plastic cover headlights) have a different bulb opening diameter?.....or are the headlights on my just happen to be poor tolerances?? any help will be much apreciated Jim
  14. im having the same mate! it was leaking a few months ago, so i took it off and found it was leaking from the core plug! i took ti to work and made myself a core plug wich solved that problem but now its starting to leak slightly from the main housing! my temp dont rise but am getting a sort of faint tapping/grinding noise from the water pump! Jim
