I was just removing a stone from my intercooler this evening and noticed that when I pulled it out, the area around it broke away. To my surprise, I am able to gently pull the fins of the cooler away really easily with my fingers. If you gently rub the fins, they simply disintegrate like cardboard.
This can't be right can it, surely it is aluminium or something. I did the same with my radiator (which looks like a similar substance) and it was fine, just a plyable metal that would break if you pressed too hard.
Is it time for a new IC.
If I do get one, is there much of a difference between the stock and a HKS S-Type (or R Type) and similar. WIll I have to change the front bumber for a FMIC?
Cheers Guys
