  1. Are your sources accurate? I think not.
  2. As for the fog light, I'm pretty sure that it should have one fitted to pass the test they do on Jap imports. Can't remember what it's called but it ensures that imports are legal on UK raods. As for the cats, you need to have at least one fitted to pass an MoT, I believe it doesn't matter which one, but you could find a freindly tester if you tried.
  3. The moral of the story; don't buy an X-Type jag, buy 3 Supras instead!
  4. Check the weather. If it's gonna rain at the weekend then get it done for wednesday.
  5. Was that a £60 fine? Never been pulled in the Supe in 18 months (touch wood). Got pulled once in an old car and found that if you co-operate, they're usually all right.
  6. How many turbocharged cars in the world have BOV's? How many turbocharged cars in the world have had trouble due to a BOV being fitted?
  7. No you don't (according to your website).
  8. If you have it permanently down then you should consider colour coding it to the colour of your car, along with plastic trims all round, unless you have OEM sides of course. Then it will look like you've fitted a splitter.
  9. Porsche Boxster? What's the retail on one of those? Sure you can afford one. My 12 year old Supra had a power steering problem where the pump and rack were refurbed in the first 6 months. 2 weeks after getting it back the crankshaft pulley literally broke in two peices. Both problems are quite common apparently, and not cheap. Good rubber that lasts aint cheap, but worth the extra money. All Supras come with a hole in the fuel tank (at least mine seems to have one). Servicing needs to be frequent. Great cars though. Best looking and performance is excellent.

    fuel economy

I was talking more like not using the engine at all.

    Front Lights

Have you considered re-furbing them yourself (if you have j-spec of course)? Never done it myself but apparently it's quite straight forward, if not time consuming.
  12. Thank you Homer. Any idea on the price of door cards?

    Just like this dude. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/9b2495cc-413a-49ab-909e-980a003e5f46.htm
  14. Hey man. It's just what i read on another thread.

Apparently there's a way of not using any fuel! Just roll it in neutral on the downhill bits, and get out and push it on the uphill bits. Of course, you would have to make your own engine noises.
  16. What plugs are colder? IK24's or IK22's?
  17. Looking good so far. Are you going for a new colour or just original respray? Can i ask, why did you need to cut the arches? Was it for space for the wheels?
  18. I.m just waiting for Charlotte to get all lairy now cos of the sexist comment!
  19. Front wheel drive 190 bhp against rear wheel drive 225 bhp. I'd go for the latter to win and put money on it, as long as you don't drive like a girl. If you are a girl then you have to drive like a boy! You should strip the interior too for a laugh! I'm talking passenger seat, rear seats, carpet and all trim. Mind you, that would give him an excuse when you cane his french poo poo ass. Merde!

http://www.parkers.co.uk Contains pretty much all info of all cars. Some exceptions of course.
  21. Oh, and someone else told me that doorcards are £1000 to replace, not sure if that was each or pair, but still quite expensive.
  22. I saw another thread just like this one and it said that even the door cards are thicker on the aerotop models for extra strength. Is this true?
  23. I think the idea is to have a manual aerotop, as all the jap ones are all auto, none sold in uk, but available in parts of Europe, so i'm told.

350 - 390 miles per tank? That's not bad. I've got a TT and the best I got out of a tank so far is 270. I've tried to dedicate a tank of petrol for sensible driving many times, but I always give in to the tubbies and give her a blast!
