A quick thanks for all the opinions guys. Went for a drive on Sunday, with the active spoiler off, and no warning light! So I'm guessing that is the culprit. Picking the car back up later today as its having its alarm fitted, if the weather stays good I'll get some pictures up later today. I wasn't intending to buy one just yet, however I know how rare TT Aero's are, and this one was just too good to miss. I had a mechanic look it over and it all seems good! Thanks again! Harpsy

I just got me a Supe! Black TT Aero, and its beautiful. Spent ages looking at it (and others) to make sure it was all good, and it certainly looked it. Had a great time driving it the 50 miles home (other than briefly losing the back end in the wet and seeing how dirty it got on a relatively short journey!). However, about 2 miles from home, the red '!' warning light came on. No other lights illuminate and theres no difference to the performance. If I switch the engine off, it clears it until I push the car again. I'm praying its something minor! I would be grinning like an idiot, but I'm a tad concerned!

I had assumed a TT would be big £££ over a NA, I'll have to have a word with my insurance company again and see what the difference is! Cheers for the heads-up for the eBay ad, I may well take a look, though I'm guessing it'll go for a bit higher than the price there at the mo. £8k is about my limit.

Cheers guys. The one I'm looking at currently is from Richardson Autos down in Bournemouth. I've assumed that its a fresh import, it certainly looks that way! There was a thread a while back about Richardson, so I've had a read of that. As far as power goes, my main car (I do lots of miles commuting to work) is a 1.4, 5 door Civic - pretty much anything is an improvement! There doesn't seem to be many Aerotop's selling privately!

Conalex, yep it is an NA Aerotop, so cheers for that I'll have to see if I can bargain with him (assuming its a good car of course!). No worries that I can only get auto aerotops, its one of those trade-offs I guess. I have tested a manual NA Supra, but not an auto, so I'm hoping for the best when I do! Hey all, another n00b here. Didn't have the bottle to start me own thread I've been looking around for an aero top for a while now, I'm sure it'll be powerful enough for me, though I'm not 100% sure if I want to go auto - but they look so good with the top's off! Anyway, missed out on one at the weekend, having a look at a couple of others this weekend - anything I should particularly look out for when checking em over? One of the one's I'm looking at looks lovely, but at almost £7k with 72000 miles on the clock, is that a bit pricey? Cheers all! Harps
