The next comic strip cracked me up.....http://xkcd.com/328/
And this one ... http://xkcd.com/349/ ... might be about computers, but also reminds me of my occasional foray into work on the car

Whats going on with the rear tires on M*** GRT ? They look slike tractor ones
I was looking at my stock rears the other day, as a new pair of kumhos were hefted onto them, thinking much in the same ...

I was surprised to see that root is still available, but I suppose not being an IT forum, it's just not relevant at all.
Dagnabbit - I missed that when I joined
Reminds me of this XKCD snippet, though;
Having the username Schtuv') DROP TABLE members;-- would be a pain trying to log in, though ...

That's bad luck, getting hit like that. It makes my blood boil that they didn't stop.
How does your NCB sit with this - I assume you've got it protected?
-
Any idea what the subscription payments are like? I would google, but I'm lazy ...
-
Basingstoke.
Unless by some miracle the nice people I work for give me a decent pay rise this year * ... highly unlikely that they will, though.
* which, if anyone from work is reading this, means paying me more money in addition to the expected cost of living increase.

They have the same Schtuv. They both have the 'extra' foward motion
This hangover isn't helping me remember how to do maths - lol
-
The bee will have the greatest angular momentum, but does that directly equate to velocity?
Would that couple with the forward motion, though? The pulley belt coordinate directional component, if memory serves, wouldn't match that of the car.

1. I was looking for an FTO, and didn't realise I could get an NA supra until I saw one on the sales forecourt.
2. There wasn't a skyline on the sales forecourt (It was an impulse purchase ...)
-
Yeah - I pace while on the phone, too. I've even been known to do circuits up chairs and across tables at work - lol
-
They are indeed, its a special edition they did in Japan, only one ever made!
I'd put the price up if I were you,then - lol
-
I'm looking for;
- The centre console glovebox (between the seats)
- The cover of the passenger footwell light
How much to get those delivered across to Hampshire?
Apologies - just ignore me as I've sourced a centre consolve glovebox from elsewhere.
-
Where's a b&$%^* lottery win when you need one
Just a respray in black, TRD spoiler, some sort of device to provide music, leather on the seats, and it'd be ideal
Are those Lexus badges I see front and back?
-
Hm. I love having my cats around, but remember;
- If you ever want to go away, they'll need boarding/feeding
- Your furniture and carpets will be attacked and clawed
- It's Sunday morning, you're hungover, there's no catfood in the house ...
- Litterbox cleaning!
- Expect lots of blood and carnage from the presents they bring you!
And don't forget the bills! More details on costs here;
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=958143&postcount=17
Fortunately, unlike dogs, they can walk themselves
lol
After about 18 months now, I wouldn't want to be without my cats
-
yeah it will scrub up. where to
Down to Hampshire. I'll pm through my address ...
-
OOooh - I'm after an armrest box, and assume that one'll scrub up OK.
Mine came with mashed hinges on the top
'Bout how much would you need for postage on that?
-
Good luck! My friends headed out to Asia to live many years ago, and with 'the way the UK is nowadays' I've been putting thought into it myself ... Singapore was nice - I'd have to get passports for the cats, though
EDIT: Lets all go and have a Supra community there
-
I'm currently enjoying nearly 600 miles per tank!
Top that!
Supra with an LPG conversion?

I'm looking for;

I've always thought it's best to be nice, or at least totally neutral in what you say, as your next employer could well be asking your current one for a reference.
If you leave nicely they'll hopefully just say "Works flat out 24/7 for peanuts, never causes trouble". If you peas them off they might be a little negative about you
-
OK - thanks for all the advice guys. I think I know how to tackle this now
Just got to wait to service the car, get some tiles with the money left, and book a couple of days off work!
-
I get 23mpg urban, 28mpg extra-urban: 94, Nipponese, NA.
