I also have a 3800 stally i bought before buying drag box from gamer

£300 delivered

dont fit a cheap one all they do is cause problems

tell him to buy a reputable one

I pay around £40 trade price for my convertors which is probably twice what he paid for the cheap one

I cant tell you how many cheapo ones ive had to remove and replace now due to them going faulty

most likely a geometry problem

I have same thing on my supe after changing to 17" wheels while 18's are being refurbed

car was solid till i changed wheels

I bet they put alloys on and didnt get a full geo set up done

A faulty speedo / odo converter chip can cause this and I'd investigate that first as quite often they're poorly installed using scotchlocks or similar.

 

The brake fluid level thing is when you have the yellow warning triangle coming on, not the O/D off light.

yeh that nearly everytime

get a mobile mechanic to come out and he can pop the pistons out and clean em with wet and dry paper and also caliper do the same

mostly this is all a seized caliper needs

he has to be careful refitting the piston to not damage the rubber boot tho even if he does hole it its not a huge problem just order he kit from toyota and the caliper will be ok till that arrives

i always just drain the lot then refill and then just do some 10 miles changing the gears a lot by myself and then flush again

this always leaves the fluid really clean after 2nd flush

other method is just to sit going up and down auto shifter gears and then flush again there and then

i prefer the driving method as it means the whole box is mixed up so allowing a much cleaner fluid after 2nd flush

Ok i have a change of plans and will be sourcing a manual conversion instead of fitting the drag box after having a shot of a 6 speed supra

this was Gamers box that had only done 300 miles from new i only want what i paid for it £1500

nver fitted to my car so only gamers miles on this box

the stally is included at that price

will consider selling seperately
