  1. Your favourite Jap Cars? Mine: 1. Toyota Supra 2. Mazda RX-7 3. Nissan 300SX 4. Celica GT4 5. Mitsibushi GTO 6. Nissan NSX 7. Mitsibushi Eclipse 8. Nissan 350Z
  2. Yeah, it was the Supra vs Cossie vid. Those stickers are only temporary; all cannonballers have them on for the duration of the event.
  3. So why do certain cars/supras need a certain number?
  4. What do the numbers etc actually mean? Cheers
  5. Some of you may have seen my other post. Im 21, just passed my driving test, and plan to buy a Supra this time next year. In the mean time, I wanted to learn as much as possible about car mechanics. I was thinking about buying up a beat up old Escort, sticking it on my drive and mucking about with it as something to work on etc. What do you recommend?
  6. I thought he was German. I do, however, know for sure his name is Jan. Here is the car, in matt black. http://www.pdoran.com/supra1.jpg http://www.pdoran.com/supra2.jpg
  7. Has anyone got any info on this Getaway in Stockholm Supra? I saw it at Cannonball last week. Well over 700 BHP and capable of 200+ apprarently. It was riding slicks.
  8. Yeah, I did think 2k was good! I was shocked! I get decent insurance quotes, though it would seem. My 1.2 Clio (my first policy and first car) is only 650 Fully Comp - hardly bad, I think. I didn't realise how quick the 2.0 Clio Sport was - just looking at it earlier, 0-60 in 7 seconds...not bad. Not a Supra, but not bad.
  9. I got a quote for a Celica GT, to drive away today, £3600 from Sky! LOL! I got a quote, rougly, from them for a stock TT next year, and it is 2k - so defo worth the wait!! 2k isn't even that bad, in my view.
  10. Just went out for my first drive on my own - what a great feeling. Metallica helped too.
  11. One step closer to a Supra. I am gonna wait a year, though, I have decided. In the mean time, I'm gonna read and learn as much as I can. Though I may go out and a buy a stock Celica or something
  12. LOL, my comment about the Celica's silenced this thread, was it such a naughty comment? ANYWAY, I PASSED MY TEST! I DROVE LIKE A PIECE OF SHIT, CRAPPING MYSELF FOR THE FULL DURATION. This was my second test, the frist time I drove really well, not nervous at all - only 2 minors last time, but one serious (approach speed too fast on sliproad). This time, because I was shitting myself, I got 11!!! LOL! If I was the examiner, i would think I was a retard. Anyway, I passed!! WOOHOO!
  13. I do like the other 1990's Toyota's though, like the Celica GT and SS2 Turbo.
  14. A quick test question: ON a crossroads, if you are coming to it, who gives way to who? I always assumed that if I am approaching, and wanting to turn left, and the guy opposite also wants to turn right (onto the same lane) it is surely my right of way? Also, if I am approaching and instead of turning left I want to go straight ahead, and he wants to keep on going right, I have the right of way, yeah? As he is crossing a lane? Cheers. This is the one thing I have realised I am unsure about, and my instructor has gone on holiday!
  15. Yeah, I think this is all good advice, thanks. My brain agrees with all of it. My heart, though, always wants more. I got a quote from the people affiliated with this club for a TT this time next year, ie, one years driving - and a off the shelf, unmodded Supra will be 2k, not bad, I thought. So perhaps I should wait till then. As you said, I have a lot to learn. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.
  16. But I'm not a stupid driver.
  17. I love Supra's that much I do know. I recently saw the Panic Brother's car, amongst others, with 700+ BHP and lucious paintjob's. This is the car for me. The only problem is that I'm 21, and have my driving test tomorrow. I currently drive a 03 1.2 Clio (used to learn in and pass test). Since I am inexperienced, I won't be able to use the TT properly, and insurance would be a joke, so I am thinking of getting a non-turbo to start me off and get used to the car etc. Is this a good idea, or shoudl I just not bother yet, and get more driving experience in the Clio?
