    Britain today?

have not read every page but at the end of the day if refugees/asylum seekers want a safe haven then fair enough but they come here and respect us and our way, they had nothing when they came, nothing where they came from, but expect more than we have ourselves. and on many occasions we have gone to there country right or wrong to sort out the mess they have come from, with many of our armed forces dying for there/our cause (not getting in to that), but you don't see them back over there helping us help them or going back when its sorted out, when the country they have seeked refuge from is on the mend, they stay here because its easier. don't care if i offend anyone i do agree that a black etc commits a crime they get called nigger etc. but there are just as many whites that are bastards and criminals etc, and there are equally as many descent citizens of every religion and race. people shouldn't be grouped like that but they are and always will be. just a pennies worth
  2. good on ya mate, and hope it turns out good for you
  3. yep thats them. he was so proud of them he used the pics to promote himself. spoke to him today he is sorting them out. allthough he was supposed to ring me back and hasn't as yet
  4. take it this is your job but why take the piss out of someone who wants to have a go himself ?
  5. to be honest i thought that the saving was coming from the quality of leather, which i was willing to accept, as i chose it, and was happy with it. which brings me to something i forgot about, went to a lot of trouble to match the colour, and he has used a different blue so its bolloxed everything up.
  6. very very breifly :- sand down with 600/800 grit, prime, leave to dry a couple of days, sand again, to find any low spots that have not been touched by sanding filler, prime again, leave again, topcoat, clearcoat if required, sand with 1200/1500, buff, smile. you need to mix your paint with thinners your supplier will give you a spec sheet of ratio and drying times if you ask its your choice how much you miss out and what finish you require, allready missed a few steps out though. hope this helps a bit

  8. thats the annoying part went to see him 6 months ago and saw a couple of cars he was working on and they looked good. thats what i like about this forum, theres allways some idiot to brighten up the day and put a smile on your face :D
  9. i agree but cannot understand someone making a mess of something to this degree when its there business and what would have taken an extra 10% at most of time spent to get it right, if that makes sense would have expected this of joe blogs from the pub doing it on the side.
  10. auto trim sheffield, i have every confidence he will accept it and put it right unless i am going to see a different side to him all of a sudden.
  11. yeh yeh, told you so. i know, stop gloating. got leather seats back today, not good at all fronts are ok, but handles are crap just taken leather off to re-do myself, very bumpy and lumpy bit of foam were torn out when removing old leather where glued but then just covered over. rear seats have a design in the back that dont line up from seats to back rest, not enough leather to go down sides, and not fastened under fixing of back rest, all leather baggy but not really bad, so will be taking them back tomorrow. not much in the way of pics, but what do you think as an overall colour scheme etc. carpets are painted on
  12. i know what you are asking but there must be a lot of factors involved as sometimes at same speed when i floor it the gears will kick down and sometimes not under roughly the same circumstances, have a play on a straight road and see if you can work it out, would be interesting to know, mine is off road at mo so cant test it
  13. the smc is fibreglass filler what do you use as a final filler?
  14. used it this morning, excellent, cheers mate.
  15. cheers for advice will suggest that to him
  16. don't expect blue in headrest to be off centre, thats not acceptable. as for saggy well wouldnt expect that really, its no harder to do it right, than to do it wrong. i run my own business and my customers allways expect highest quality (which they always get, my standards are high) even though i am probably £3000 cheaper than a competitor, anyway who's to say when i point the headrest out that he won't accept them like that either, he is human and could have just missed it. i know its very cheap and would accept some tiny probs but not the two mentioned.
  17. totally agree, thanks for advice, he is a good bloke though and sure he will sort it out:D
  18. logo looks good he sent off for that
  19. noticed that as well, this is not going well. i am very fussy as well especially with my supe, after how much work is going into it. leather is the only thing i am not doing myself.
