gregsupra4
Hi All, Thought I would share with you all the new inlet manifolds we are currently fitting to our supras, they include 90mm Throttle bodys. Once fitted and tested we will be selling them at very low prices either as a supply only or supply and fit. Anyway see what you think. b_have
Look nice, are you using Q45 TB's? What will be the supply only cost?
CJ
For those of us with FMIC's already in place, will it mean a new pipe to go from the TB down? If so, do you supply that service too?
gregsupra4
Hi CJ and B'Have, Ok in order of post. B'Have 1: The throttle body's are custom made for us. 2: The price on supply of manifold and TB will be around £800. CJ. 1: Yes but a couple of mods need to be done in order to fit these monsters, Battery will need relocating to boot area and pipe work will go through where battery tray used to be. Any more questions please feel free to ask. I hope to have mine all done and at the ACE cafe meet in Jan.
b_have
Cool, my batt is already in the boot, but would need adapter induction pipework. Guess that would be easy to make after you have one produced. will the plenum have a universal TB fitting (so a modified stock will bolt on)? Keep us posted! gregsupra4
Hi Charlie, Sorry but the stock TB will not fit the inlet flange. :thumbdown
bromy
Greg, any plans on one for the n/a, i have a single conversion on mine t61 and think i would benefit from this instead of the intake going over the engine and pipework from the fmic being so long
gregsupra4
Hi Bromy, Will talk to our suppliers later today and see if they can produce one. We will need to send them a N/A manifold in order for them to produce one and we do not have an N/A inlet at the workshop but if they are able to do one then we might ask you to send your old one to us first, they normaly take around 2/3 weeks to produce a test unit and around 1 week after we agree that they are ok to getting the finshed article so you will be looking at around 5/6 weeks. Hope that helps, will let you know later.
Alex
Hi Greg, few questions... What performance benefits have you been advised you'll see from doing this? What made you go for that length of runner is it the same as stock? Why velocity stacks over standard runners? Have you tuned it for power or torque? Cheers
gregsupra4
What performance benefits have you been advised you'll see from doing this? What made you go for that length of runner is it the same as stock? Why velocity stacks over standard runners? Have you tuned it for power or torque? Hi Ya, Ok lets answer those questions in order. 1: In tests done on the designers car ( 1994 Supra manual with Greedy T71 ) it proved to increase the overall performance at both pre-spool and on full boost by around 86 BHP at the hubs, as the designer has stated this cannot be taken as a true reflection of possible gains as there are many Variables that can both increase and decrease this figure but the overall gains from stock were Substantial, we will post pre-fit dyno and post fit dyno sheets as soon as we get them. 2: Yes the runner is the same lengh as stock. 3: The designer found that in testing this config produced the best even flow into all Cylinders with only a 4.5% differance in flow across the six. 4: Again the design was for turbo upgraded cars to increase both power and torque. Once we have completed the fitting and testing we will post our own results and at that point we will see if they are a go for release. Keep watching.
