Drivers window

My drivers side window has stopped working all of a sudden. The passenger side is working fine. I've checked the fuses and I think the motor might have given up. To make things worse I'm still waiting to book my car in to get the a/c repaired so now I'll be sweltering in the heat. :flame:

Anyone got any ideas for a quick fix?

Take the door card off and have a look, mine did the same - but in the open position. It turned out that the metal cord used in the window system had frayed(SP) and had clogged the motor. Mr T wanted stupid money, so went to Halfrauds and fixed it with some new bike brake cabling - been good for 18 months now.
