Exhaust Fume Geeks

Ok people listen in !!

Just a question about the fumes from my exhaust.

I started her up and decided to observe the change in fumes from the exhaust over time. (I don't get out much !!)

For me the following happens (assuming I just sit at idle post start up):

Minutes 0 - 2: Grey smoke

Minutes 2 - 4: Lighter smoke

Minutes 4+: Practically invisible smoke (even on revving Bruuum bruuum !)

So in an attempt to catch out the exhaust fume geeks I thought I would open the discussion on whether this was ok, what other people see with their exhausts and what we should be looking for in a healthy (abeit modified :) ) Supra.

Take it away boffins !!! ;)

when the weather was cold, before the summer, mine smoked like a muvvahugger as soon as I had both my CATs removed. It was white smoke and it stopped once the car had warmed up.

For some odd reason, this doesn't seem to happen anymore since I changed my exhaust to the RS*R. Perhaps it's just the weather.
