Marty
I've had this issue a while now on my 94tt. It's most noticeable during driving... when i go to change gear and depress the clutch the revs will blip higher (+500/1k). Seems in general the revs are slow to drop even at a standstill with clutch both disengaged and engaged. I've had the throttle body off and cleaned it though it was clean as a whistle anyway, i've also had the idle control valve off and cleaned that just in case in was gunked up, which it wasn't. Both have had zero effect. Anything else i should be looking at?

Sheefa
I had near identical symptoms recently and thought it might of been adjustment but it turned out to be the TPS wasn't seated correctly. Adjusted it and all is perfect.
