I've taken my bumper off with the aim of fixing (straightening) the active spoiler and putting the headlamp washers back in place.

Now I've got holes where the headlamp washers should be, 'cause the bolts coming out of them snapped.

The aluminium bar that bolts the bottom lip in place (part of the active spoiler? or just the lip?) was all twisted and bent. There are two of these, now there are none.

Will I be okay without the aluminium bars? It's just the one in the middle - the two small outer ones are fine.

Any tips on fixing the headlamp washers?

thanks!

headlamp washers are in the bin :D

even with triangle holes either side of the bumper it looks better than those ugly bug antennae! Wondering how to fill the holes on the cheap now though.

Active spoiler now works a treat, zip-tied the bottom lip in place - active spoiler is still held on by its aluminium bars.

I'd love to know how you're meant to remove the two side screws holding the n/s headlamp in place - my bodyshop man had left them out (shock horror!) so it wasn't a problem. I removed the windscreen washer bottle top-bit to get one of the nuts back on, but had to leave the lower one.

I'm also curious what the device is that's in place at the start of the big hose coming from the air box?

Car felt incredibly fast just after I put it all back together. Then after a bit it felt just like before - maybe the ECU was relearning it's parameters - I flattened the battery by leaving ign in ON for a few hours.

All in all quite a sucessful day - even if it did take me from 11am 'til now, with a 2hr after-beer nap when it rained.
