Just got my 1JZ 2.5tt running on my w58 box, and fitted a uprated clutch but its still slipping, im only pushing 1bar.

Will it get better once its bedded in as im using my orginal flywheel.

The clucth was new with pressure plate - clutch - thrust bearing.

If it continue's to slip what have other people used who have installed a 2JZ in there N/A and running the W58 gearbox.

Only going on past experience, but it took a good couple of hundred miles for my SB Kevlar clutch to start gripping. It wasn't until I got a good couple of hundred miles of careful, slight boost driving that it settled down. It was slipping badly when first installed but was told by Mark (Pheonix) to stay off boost until it had some miles in it.

Once it bedded in it was fine and lasted over 30k miles :)

thats good news, need to keep off boost then before i set fire to it lol, will do some driving around, must say the power delivery come's in so early it hard to stay off it, i have a 1bar RR fitted and boost controler turned off.

The 1JZ really is a lively engine.
