Hi,

This is normal after the ETTC mod, When you engage into TTC you will here a loud rattle from your turbo actuator, this will not cause any damage to you car but does become anoying !.

If you was that fussy you could alway take it off and replace it with a new one.

When the system becomes under pressure it does seem to reduce the rattleing to a point you cannot here when you are driving but again is normal.

As for it being down to the actuator, I don't think it has anything to be with being old they all seem to do it some worst than others.

OK, just been for another blast. Bit dissapointing below 3500rpm (as I expected) but above 4K way hey :) and kick down is alot more fun.

Just getting a little scrape sound when the boost starts building then a slight squirting noise, then we're off. Anyone know what the squirting noise would be?

Dunno yet Paul, I'll be at the next Mascrat meet if you're going. Should be there for a bit longer next time :)

Mod is a piece of piss to do actually. Parts cost about 3 quid from Maplins and the work took about an hour, including a bit of panicing (always worry about cutting ecu wires :)) and finding tools.

Mascrat Manor is the JapUK meet isnt it?? :)

Cool. I've always fancied doing the TT conversion. Where did you get the info from to do it?

Paul.
