Replacement Toyota keys

Hmmm I was thinking about going to my local Toyota Dealer and ordering a new key for my Supra, as the key I have for it is a non-genuine thingy without the little chip inside (car still starts/works!). Seeing that my car is a UK spec, I should be able to get the key ordered without taking a lock out as they should have a record of the key number in their database. Am I correct in thinking this?
