Got my baby back from the painters yesterday. Then spent an hour waxing it and 2 hours wiring and plumbing in a defi style boost guage. It went into the shop normal dark red and came out bright ferrari red :D They made a mistake ordering the paint. Apparently it is a supra colour but I notice it says Toyota SUPER red on the tin they gave me.

Anyhow I'm not complaining cos they did a crackin job and its a nicer red  It looks a bit orange in the pics. Trust me it is bright arterial ferrari rosso corse blood red :)

The 60mm guage fitted into the eyeball vent after I gutted it with the aid of about 6 layers of gaffer tape wrapped round the body of the guage. It was a nice, tight fit and I can angle the guage too :D

Only problem is I can now see I am only boosting to 0.6bar :bang: Going to change the plugs, bung in a bottle of injector cleaner and clean out the smic and see if it helps. Anyone any other ideas?

Thanks guys. Hmmmm.. colour code the lip? Didn't think of that! lol. Might pull it off and do that myself. Good luck with yours Trig

For anyone from Northern Ireland, it was painted by TBR, Moss Rd, Drumbo. Moss Rd is off the Hillsborough Rd about 3 miles from Carryduff. Ask for Keith and tell him I sent ya :D

Thanks mate. Music to my ears. You should have seen the state of it before the re-respray. Looked like someone had brushed the paint on

It cost £1200. They normally charge £1500 but the owner is a friend of a workmate so I got a cheeky deal :D

I got a loan to buy the car and got enough to allow for a respray. Paid £4500 for '93 UK spec auto TT which I thought was cheap enough. Hopefully the car is worth £5700 now lol. It is to me anyway. It was getting a lot of goggle eyed rubbernecking looks on the way to work this morning. (Or was it cos I was driving nekkid? hmmmm)
