suprattgaz Posted April 24, 2007 Share Posted April 24, 2007 I'm sure you are aware of what I have been doing with the replacement clear lense - I NEED SOME HELP!!!![OOPS][/OOPS] The shop who is moulding these cannot give a consistent finish. Any dust particles in the air create pin prick marks on the lense. Very hard to see from afar, but up close you can spot the diffraction through the plastic. On the car it is not even noticable and is so slight I cannot get even gat a photo of it. I can't blame the company doing it as they don't do any clear work, so are not used to such a clean, controlled process requirement. The moulds are top bollox, polished so you can see yourself in them so it's not them that is a problem. Does anyone on here know of a vacuum forming shop that does clear moulding (or can produce these in a controlled environment)? I don't want to waste any more time or money tring to get it right with these guys. It is all ready to go, just need someone to mould them?
