supra Lee
My temp guage has not worked since buying the car. So my friend checked the fuse box in the drivers footwell and the engine bay, which are all fine. Then i decided to buy new dials, which fitted today and still no joy. What other possibilities could there be is there anywhere else that i may possibly need to check?

Miguel
Top water return hose to the rad closest to the head ( ally) you will see 2 sensors 1x 2 pin and 1 x 1pin conectors on the inside curve of this pipe. Its the single pin one that works the gauge. earth the plug out and see if your gauge moves.

supra Lee
Cheers for the help, I don't want to kill the sensor by doing something wrong, what do I have to do to earth the plug?
Miguel
Yup..The single pin one ( ie the smallest of the 2 temp plugs) . The gauge should shoot up to max so dont do it for too long. Have someone sitting in the car watching the gauge for movement.
