bromy
Apart from a leak what would be the cause of a pressure drop of 6psi from 38psi on a aeromotive fpr, adjustment locking nut is tight
SimonB
Pressure drop from when? How are you measuring it?
bromy
Fuel pressure was initially set at 38 static back in march, but last night on the way home ran fine up to 0.5 bar then slightly misfiring upto the max 0.8bar for which it was mapped, had a look at the fuel pressure and it had dropped to 30-32psi, bridged the diagnostic port today and wound it up to 38 again and all is ok, just a little concerned to why this has happened, pressure gauge is on top of the rail
SimonB
Ah right, just wondered if the 38 was static and the 32 was idling or something, but it sounds like it wasn't. I guess it could be the adjuster has slipped, but you say the nut was tight so that shouldn't have happened. Or a dodgy fuel pump?
bromy
Or a dodgy fuel pump? Walbro nearly 1 year old, but they can go I suppose:rolleyes:
SimonB
Dunno mate, seems pretty weird. You wouldn't expect an Aeromotive FPR or a Walbro pump to go.
TLicense
Do you get a repeatable pressure each time you key on or does it fluctuate at all?
