RedM Posted November 20, 2005 Share Posted November 20, 2005 I've noticed during this cold spell that, until the heating warms up, I'm getting a very low, melancholic whistle from the central heating vent. It's the sort of noise that should accompany the tumbleweed icon or that you'd make in a scary situation to scare other people. Does that make sense? Anyone else getting this? geoffvalenti Posted November 20, 2005 Share Posted November 20, 2005 My BOV does this, it's quite eerie late at night It only happens when the car is cold, light throttle and just coming on boost (0-0.1 bar or so) Maybe it's because I'm easier on the throttle when its cold, I suppose when it's hot I give it more stick so it's boosting quicker and doesn't linger around that point, when its cold, I try to keep it off boost for the first few miles.
