93 Jspec RZ 6 speed, needs work

Putting my Supra up for sale :( because currently I can’t afford to repair it and I also need some funds to replace my work car (17yr old Ford Escort, got stolen on weekend :badmood:) for a newer and more secure one.

It needs some work as will be explained further down so I think only someone who really knows their Supras should consider this car.

But first a summary of my Supra:

It’s a 1993(K) silver RZ Twin Turbo with 6 speed manual that was imported in April 2004.

It got 128,000kms on the odometer which equates to around 80,000 miles.

The modifications are-

18” Ultralite Hikari (black centres) alloys shod with Toyo T1-Rs (bought Nov 2006) which replaced Veilside Andrews from Japan.

Tein Super Street suspension with EDFC which replaced HKS setup from Japan.

Has a big bore exhaust, I don’t know who it’s made by but I’d suspect it’s Trust/GReddy because most aftermarket parts in this Supra were from this company.

Got an Apexi Fuel Management system in the upper glove box.

GReddy Profec boost controller and turbo timer.

The front brakes have been converted to UK spec front brakes fitted in Nov 2006 but rears are still J-spec

The car last had a full service in January 2005 (5.5k miles ago) but oil and filter has been changed once since.

A new clutch and lightened flywheel was fitted in August 2006.

The car alarm is a Clifford 650 with remote start (I so love this function!) with certificate.

Ok now the bad stuff…..:

No MOT or tax currently (it’s off-road).

Pre-MOT inspection revealed both the steering rack (leaking fluid) and the radiator (hole in it) needs replacing.

Personally I believe the front bumper needs replacing because it has received scratches and scrapes due to ‘undesirable foreign objects hitting it’. Whole front part of car needs respraying to match the rest because the dealer I bought it from sprayed it a light grey instead of silver.

Both door mirrors damaged (passenger side been hit, driver side needs re-spraying) and the passenger door has received a small stabbed-like blow.

Engine symbol light occasionally pops up when driving in 4th gear+ above 2200rpms, this has been diagnosed as a speed sensor fault.

Wheels could probably use a re-furb.

In side the car the plastic fascia surrounding the controls has a lot of scratches, it came from Japan that way so why I don't know.

Wells that is it, any questions just fire away.

EDIT: Some extra information I've forgotten to mention:

It was put on a rolling road in April 2006, results were 321bhp at 6025rpm but on low boost apparently. Graph available.

EDIT 2: There is smoke on start up but this clears away and doesn't reappear until the car hasn't been used again until next day.

If I knew how to wield a spanner then yes

Yeah i know what you mean I'm the same. What's a spanner?:search: I wish I had the cash spare. I'd stick the engine and gear box in mine.:(

Good luck with the sale and sorry you're having to sell.

UPDATE:

Battery has been charged up. :)

After 3 months on the driveway there were no leaks evident under the car until the engine was started up, a patch appeared though after the engine was started up, this was underneath the area near where the 2 tubes are by the radiator. It wasn't oil so I assume coolant is still leaking.

Here a video of the engine revved about 10 minutes after the engine warmed itself up:

Does it sound unusual in any way?
