TRL New Products

THOR Racing

Recommended Posts

I'm about to give up my current contract for a while and spend some time at home developing TRL equipment. I've had enough of trying to get things done during 1 day a week. I've have loads of unfinished projects.

As of July 5th I'll be at home.

I will gradually be extending my electronics fitting service from this period to help with income.

My plan is to get the following ready for Billing.

Fuel Cuts (Done)

Speedo Converters (Done)

Wideband O2 sensor adapter (Circuit done just not built)

LED AFR Meter (Done), can also use optional Wideband O2 adapter.

LCD Graphical units for displaying.....

Temperature, displaying intercooler efficiency.

AFR Meter,

Traction Monitor,

Performance Timer, lap monitor.

Later developments.....

Boost Controller

Air/Fuel Controller

The units can display, monitor, datalog and modify various analogue and digital signals in both time and frequency domains.

The LCD will be available in a range of

White (Black Characters)

White (Blue Characters)

Green (Black characters)

Each unit will have....

free updates to correct faults.

optional software upgrades incurring a charge,

Bespoke special designs, incurring a charge (could have your own logo or name on it)

Demo (pre-production) units and more information will be on display at the Billing JAE show (and not before)

Discounts for pre-orders made on the day, so bring your cheque books :-)

Cheers

Pete

Pete one thing that has always bothered me is the inaccuracy of OEM rev counters. My Tach shows approx 9000rpm at the 8500rpm limit (on my PowerFC), but reads spot on at idle. As accurate as digital readout tachs are they are not easy to read on the move as a needle.

Could a divice be made that adjusts the signal to the tach so that it could be calibrated against a more accurate source (external source, like custom ECU output or digial tach)?

I was thinking it could have a pot to calibrate the upper range and one for the lower range (does that make sanse), so you can adjust the rev limit/shift point reading without affecting the idling needle position (or adjusting the lower reading slightly if it's off, possibly even in the other direction to the upper limit change).

Any ideas? Possible?
