georigg
I understand these were a standard Toyota spare some time ago. If anyone has these for sale, please contact me through a PM and advise Price etc.. My car is silver but any colour acceptable as they can be sprayed to my colour Rgds George
Guest CoolsBlue
i have a pair in black, the pass side has a scuff, but if your painted, filler will sort it out easy.

georigg
Hi Guigsy & Capt Chaos, Have tried to identify through both photos on your posts but cannot see the infill plates. Can you possibly send me an email at [email protected] please? I have a set of black ones on offer from Cool Blue, but could you guys please advise me if these plates require a square rear number plate to be fitted? What I'm really looking for is an insert that will allow an oblong plate......standard No. plate about 4" high by 16-18" long. Much appreciate your response. Guigsy
sorry i thaught you were asking for a surround thing or the plate. not the black things. I dont have any fitted to my car thats why you wont see them and if i remember correctly they dont fit the "oblong" plate just the "square" plate. What i have is something like this but with the toyota logo that isnt on my car at the moment http://www.mirage.uk.com/images/extra-icons/Chrome-Number-plate-surround.jpg
georigg
Hi Guigsy, I guess I should have been more specific on my original post. I saw what looks like the old Toyota-sold spare on a black Supra last week, but only from a distance & although it had the usual square plate fitted, it did look like it was one complete unit, rather than two separate inserts to be fitted either side of the existing big hole that the square plate covers. I'm now looking to make one myself, planning to make a reverse mould shape from plywood and then lay up fibreglass over it to give me the same general outer shape of the inserts, but filling the whole area. Just sat drawing out what I need and think I will fit two white/clear round light assemblies, one in each top corner and connect the reverse lights to those, and then put red bulbs in the present reverse lights to give me rear fog lights and still let me keep my rear oblong number plate. Lastly, my thanks and apologies to Cool Blue, Captainchaos and yourself for the posts, sorry if I've caused you any problems etc.. Best regards George

georigg
Hi Doogzy, I'm up in Peterhead. Your photo is exactly what I saw on the back of a Supra recently, the only thing is that I want to keep an oblong plate on the rear not the square one which covers a big hole on the back which is about the same size as the square plate, so need an "infill piece" for along the bottom of the infills you show in your photo. Good photo though....gives me a better idea of the detail of its shape.# Ta Much George
georigg
Hi guys, Thought you might be interested to see my first pass sketch for an all-in-one rear infill panel that can be used with oblong number plates. See the jpeg attached. The two round circles either side of the number plate are the re-positioned reverse lights, so that the existing reverse lights can be used to convert tham to rear fog lamps. The inspiration for the fin style comes from the front of the new Audi TT which has asimilar fin shape under thefront light clusters. I'm looking to make mine out of aluminium, but it would be intresteing if one of the parts suppliers thought it would be good enough to make in plastic as a marketable add-on for supras. Appreciate comments!!!! Rgds George
