TurboBrett
right i have been having the problem on and off for a while now, cant realy put my finger on what it is, the problem: car drives perfectly of boost / on 1st turbo, siquential(sp?) turbo system works correctly, the problem start when the second turbo comes in when cold (not fully up to temp) or on cold days its feels as if its hitting the revlimiter for fraction of a secont then full power ~ 500 rpm higher same thing happens over all the way upto redline, like i said it comes and goes might do it a bit in 2nd gear non in 3rd and real bad in 4th or will do it twice and not do it for rest of jurney:search: dont want to leave it too long like this if i can help it anyone seen this before? car is standard exept backbox witch is a 'jasma' 'main factor'? only words in english:D (looks the part but is as realy quiet:() have not checked anything over as yet any similar threads? finding it hard to search for some thing i dont realy know what to call lol:blink: cheers,

mattysupra
i had the same problem the other day apart from mine was poping and spitting flames and stuff. I think, or have put it down to the engine not being at correct running temp. If too cold mine tends to do this even if been sat running for 15 minutes before driving. If it is cold outside then i have to drive for a while not using second turbo until fully warm. It never used to be like this but i now run electric water pump and fans. If i used to put my foot down before i had electric stuff and it was not hot it would cut out/lose power. Think it is more of a safe guard on the ecu than a fault. But mine does not have a standard ecu either. Yours may be different.
TurboBrett
Erm it Sounds like ur clutch could be on the way out buddy? And jasma is just to say its an aproved exhaust by Japan standards so my jasma back box is just like an aproved backbox? dont understand how the problem could be down to worn clutch? do they not slip on supras when they are worn because i cant see/ feel it slip and its deffinately not as bad as pops and flames:cool:
