did the new mouse come with a green adaptor to convert a usb (flat ended connector) to a ps2 (small round connector with small pins inside)

i'm guessing you have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo at the moment? where are they connected? does it have one green and one purple connector?

you should be able to just unplug the green one from the keyboard/mouse combo and leave it hanging down, then plug in your new mouse using the green adaptor.

make sure you do this with the pc turned off, as it will need to see the mouse connected as it boots up

will the keyboard work then though jon

yep, i know this because i've had to do this on mine :)

the purple connector is the keyboard and green s the mouse, so as long as the purple one stays put then it will work
