kieren1234
I n regards to the problem of me buying the exhaust off their website for $208 and them refunding the payment then putting the price up to $450, i emailed them to complain about it as this is against the law due to breach of contract. They replied to my e-mail with and i quote: FIND A SHORT PIER TAKE A LONG WALK Great customers service  Complete tosser in my opinion. T2 MSW
in the UK i think it is but with the good being purchased from the states I dont think you have a leg to stand on IMO.
Charlotte
Actually unfortunately they can do this. If they agreed to sell you something this is known as 'invitation to treat' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invitation_to_treat If they then refund you your money because it was the wrong price or for whatever reason, they are within their rights to re-sell at a different price. Unless they specifically say otherwise.

jaymdee
To be honest, you 'offered' them $208 for the item and they refused. perfectly legal, they don't have to sell anything to you. All shop priices are an 'indication' of what the retailer would like you to pay. If you make an offer, it's up to them to accept. Common misconception is that if something is priced incorrectly they have to sell it at that price - they don't.

Tricky-Ricky
I have a XS Power exhaust and as far as quality is concerned its very good, however mine arrived with a small dent, and on enquiry they sad yes send it back to us and we will send a replacement or refund, but i was a bit peeved as i didn't think i should have to pay return shipping charges, so said so, and this is where they got shitty, first off the didn't bother to reply, so i decided to keep the exhaust and put up with the dent, but Left negative feedback for the bad customer service, the guy turned around and called me a scammer and don't deal with me! i think you will find that its the guy in the UK thats the problem, as they have a franchise here, and he is a complete arse, and has an attitude problem! Safely Insured
Jason at XS power is friendly & pretty approachable. Dont take this the wrong way, but was your email worded rudely? Sounds like you've put their backs up!!
kieren1234
No it wasnt rude in the slightest tbh. I basically put what had happened, that i had sought legal advice and they were in the wrong to do that, and I still wanted the item at the first advertised price and that would stop me from taking it further............ otherwise i would be contacting the Federal Trade Commision'. Not insulting in any way.

Sounds like you've put their backs up!! Well my communication with him was polite and in no way offencive, he just made one curt reply and refused to answer further enquiry's, not what i would call friendly and approachable, certainly not what i would call customer service! and after his slanderous remark on Ebay feedback i refused to withdraw my negative feedback, he could have taken the trouble to contact me direct and avoided bad feedback, so sorry his attitude sucks! shame as i would have bought other things from them. SupraStormRising
I bought one of these and to be honest I paid £299 and my other halfs father is a mechanic. When he fitted he said he didn't see welds of that quality very often and that the stainless steel used was very good.. Although as with most e-bay traders they're fine when your happy but can get shi#@y if you have any issues. A collegue of mine has a friend who is an e-bay trader and when he gets complaints just replies with "And what you going to do about it F#ck off" Although refunding you and jumping the price is a bit crappy you'd of thought they would give it to you for $208 then just increase the price for the next customer
