CJ
I am looking to set up a small web based enterprise here in Kos. It will be to advertise long term apartment and house rentals to people wishing to either work in the summer, move here for keeps or for people rich enough to keep a place here so they can jolly off whenever the mood takes them. I want help in naming this little venture and that's where you lot come in. I thought of: Kosrentals Kosproperty Livingonkos Movingtokos Obviously, these work as web site (or at least I thought so) and are currently available as a .gr web site address. What thinks you lot? juanchan
Kosproperty is the more open ended of those choices. "livingon", "movingto" and "rentals" may limit you in the future, depending on where you hope the venture will take you. Simply "property", whilst maybe less glamourous sounding initially, could be there for rentals, purchasing, holiday homes etc. I'm pretty useless at thinking of original things like names though sorry! CJ
Good point. Future proof should be the way to go eh?
Steviekid
I'd go with Kosproperty too. Have they improved the airport yet? We has to stand outside for about two hours because there wasn't enough room inside for more than one flight's worth of people!

We has to stand outside for about two hours because there wasn't enough room inside for more than one flight's worth of people! Even though they have enlarged it, it is still a nightmare. Coming in is not too bad as they tend to only ever land 2 planes at about the same time. Going back is much worse as they only have one suitcase xray machine and that is where the hold ups occur. juanchan
Good point. Future proof should be the way to go eh? I'd say it depends where you hope to go with it. If it's just "something on the side", then being future proof may not be such an issue. If you're hoping it might lead somewhere with several zeroes on the end of your bank balance, it's probably worth thinking about. A name with an implication of putting your feet up and unwinding appeals to the crowd too, like "thekoslife" or "relaxonkos".
Conrad
I know nothing about this so I'm probably wrong but wouldn't it be better to have a co.uk address rather than a Greek one if you're targeting British customers? Does the .gr suffix effect google searchs etc....

I am unsure about the Google search though. Maybe someone else knows?

CJ
Don't tell me she's welsh as well ! - No, definitely American but when they start to extol the virtue of Aids (sic) as a slimming tool, then the mind really does start to boggle! Ark
Am I the only person who thinks the "KosProperty" sounds a lot like "Lost Property" when spoken - not the word association you want with holiday living.
