paulrenn
Hey guys Was just wondering if anyone wants to comment on this idea... I'm not sure how the stock turbos are routed to the intercooler, do they both have seperate piping to the stock IC? If so, perhaps a good mod could be to mount a second stock IC, so each turbo has its own cooler. This means that you wouldn't need a giant front mount, and second hand stock coolers are probably plentiful from people who have gone the FMIC route. You'd get better cooling as a lot less hot air would be entering each IC, the weight would not be increased substantially, and as I said, you could probably pick up the IC quite cheaply. THOR Racing
The outputs of the turbos are combined before leaving the area around the turbos so only one very large pipe enters the intercooler. However I know of a few people now who have welded two stock intercoolers together to make a "better" IC. How good I don't know. Pete
Syed Shah
I think there is some info about welding two stock ICs together on the NZ site.
paulrenn
I was thinking more about having an IC for each turbo, rather than welding two together to make one big single.
Syed Shah
I don't *think* this would be possible due to their layout, but you could always double-check this with Leon or CW.
