Anybody got any ideas? Due to a spaz moment whilst changing the fanbelt a slight alternator plus spanner interaction occured!:swearsign:

Big blue sparks and one blown alternator fuse:rolleyes: Just almost destroyed it trying to pry it out, so there must be a trick to it:search:

Oh and anybody know whos the best person to get one off, smartish like (like this weekend)? I know that its the only one thats blown 'cos I've managed to squeeze the fuse together and get a contact (it's now covered in grease in the hope that it wont corrode overnight!) and everything works fine.

Need to stop having the odd can whilst working on the car methinks!!!:(

120 amp fuse?

two bolts, one on each pin of the fuse. you have to separate the fusebox in order to reach them.....

Thats the one!!! Thought it must be something like that! You got any advice as to how to separate it? I tried but something seemed to be holding it down just under the fuse I wanted to change. Know what I'm talking about? Another bolt/nut maybe?

Yeah, flip the little red cover up, and you'll fint a nut on the power cable. ;)
