Chris and Alana
Hi guy's, I fitted RLTC and uploaded a new dat file from phil (terminator) but there seems to be a problem somewhere. I whent for a drive today parked the car up, done what I needed to do and then when i went to start it up again the car wouldnt start so i turned the rltc off at the adjuster and the car started fine. I then turned it back to 'wet' and it was still fine.I then drove to an empty industrial park and parked up (engine still going) and turned the adjuster to 'off' then back on then off and when i turned it back on (even just to the first setting 20% i think) the engine cut off again Does anyone have any idea's? Im a bit worried to use it incase my engine cutts out while I'm driving.
RedM
Not having much luck are you. Is this seeming a bit similar? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=62986
Chris and Alana
I found some old threads that say raising the rev limit on the launch control sorted similar problems. when I looked at the file it was set to 0revs so I chaged it to 10,000rpm and all seems well so far but I need to take it for a good drive and make sure

T2 MSW
So besides these issues how did you get on with the fitting, did you find the wiring caused any issues? Could I be cheeky and ask if you could send me the dat file for when I do mine?
RedM
when I do mine? TBH I would ask Terminator for a bespoke DAT. He asks for more info than what sort of Supra is it? You'll get one set up for your exact driving requirements.
T2 MSW
Ah ok cheers will do that then. Was under the impression the dat was a basis to customise for each car. Cheers.
Chris and Alana
Yeah the dat file will be specific to your car, I got mine off terminator aswel he's very helpful and seems good at creating these files but I dont mind sending you mine if you want it. As for fitting. . it went ok I had no problems with the wiring at all apart from the lack of play on the wiring looms (is a slight pain) and the lack of space (removing the glove box gives a little extra room) and your arm will probably ache a little but it saves a bit of money at the end of the day When you unplug the ABS plug from the little ABS ECU (under the stereo) it helped me alot to pull the wiring loom through into the driver footwell to do the connections instead of struggeling in the dash space I would also say start it in the morning because it took me about 4-5hours to fit the unit on saturday and then a couple of hours fiddling with the dat file today. I made myself a little table to help me with the installation I'l try and post it up. What car do you have (TT - N/A auto - manual)? If you have TT auto then my little table may be of use
Chris and Alana
These are what I found the most helpfull but remember they are for a J-SPEC TT AUTO Hope they help you in some way. Oh just to add, It looks like raising the rev limit on the launch control part of the dat file has solved the problem as it's never cut out again so far RLTC Wire Locations.docJap spec pinouts.doc
T2 MSW
Star man Im part way through compiling something very similar myself and have just seen this, just saved me a load of time - mine is a JSpec TT Auto so ideal. Thank you.
Chris and Alana
No problem, glad I could help Good Luck Oh, what size wheels and tires do you have? just if they are the same as mine I dont see any reason why my dat file wouldnt work either. you would just have to allocate the wheel's before uploading it onto the RL unit, this might help http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=126078 If you need anything else just PM me. I'm no expert as it took me a little while to do myself but Im happy to help
