DODGYDODDS
Hi, my idle has increased to 1200rpm, and sometimes climbs as high as 1400-1500rpms:blink:, im aware this is a symptom of boost leak, and a major one at that, but in checkin half a dozen times with no findings, im at the stage of pulling out my hair:(, just want to know, can anything else cause this problem. i have checked all small boost hoses. all intercooler connections, and inspected the intercooler for damage, and i have drawn a blank, all advice will be much appreciated:)
Guru
How long has it been happening? Could be a bit of bad fuel perhaps?

Guru
Ok does it settle when warm or does it do it all the time? Could try resetting the ECU and seeing if that works. DODGYDODDS
yeah guru done the reset first, still evident, and stays the same when it was warm,, i then moved on to the iacv, listened if it clicked when the engine was shut off. which it did, so it was operating, and the resistance checks drew a blank. i then[crude] i know tapped it with a screwdriver, to see if it was sticking, hopin it may loosen it, but no change. onto the tps, but finding the time is a nightmare lol, thanks for your help gents, will update. the iacv check, was found on max-boost.com not sure how correct it is though, so was worth a try
