That's primarily why I fitted an oil temp gauge. your water temp will be alot hotter than your oil. Would not give the car any rice before oil is upto normal operating temp. SUPRASUZUKI Posted September 24, 2007 Share Posted September 24, 2007 My stock gauge shows 'normal' after a couple of minutes driving. At this point my aftermarket gauge shows 40degC (sensor in top hose). I think the stock gauge is calibrated to show 'normal' over a wide range of temperature.
