toyotasuprauk
I've been searching for tires online and no one seems to have my size listed. Is 245 50 16 the correct size for the front tires?
RedSZ
245/50 16 is correct size for rear tyres. They are v. difficult to get hold of. I had to get Goodyear on special order at £168 each:mad: Have noticed that a lot of cars with 16" wheels put 225/50 on back as well as front. Dont know what this does for handling. IMO best thing is to buy some stock 17" wheels - tyres a lot cheaper and easier to get hold of.
sinbad
Ref: 245/50/16 Why not put on 255/45/16 or 235/55/16. Should be a better option than 225 on the rear, for handling. Not sure if those sizes are available however.
toyotasuprauk
Been out to the car and checked. I made an error, the fronts are actually: 225 50 16 The rears are 245 50 16 As I'm looking for fronts it will hopefully be a bit easier now. Thanks. toyotasuprauk
Oh yes, tire as in the American spelling of tyre. I and probably lots of others wouldn't have even noticed.
