Steve
Just fitted my boost gauge on my Supe, Flooring it in 4th is only seeing aprox 0.5 bar. What is the standard boost supposed to be? If it is higher am suspecting i have a leak somewhere on the vac pipe.
Supra_Nish
I think so mate, mines an auto but once planted its a solid 0.8 bar all the way!
green_dragon
Mine is a 6 speed and I was getting a consistent max of 0.77 bar. Now I have my Nur spec I see a max of 1.02 bar!! HTH! Chris
Steve
I have also put another 'T' piece in behind the dash to for my turbo timer. Could this be causing it to loose some pressure?
green_dragon
Depends how tight the connection is! My 'T-piece' is dead tight and I haven't noticed a leak. Give it a tug and see if it comes off without a struggle. Chris

Steve
So is 0.8 bar roughly standard boost then on a Jspec?
geoffvalenti
Originally posted by smarty So is 0.8 bar roughly standard boost then on a Jspec? Yep, 0.8 bar is about standard for an unmodified J-Spec. Any mods and then who knows Both turbos on line (4000 rpm+ and WOT) should see more than 0.5 bar. Although if you live near to where I do, trying to hold it above 4000 rpm with your right foot buried, AND trying to read a boost gauge, is not the easiest of tasks without rear ending the car in front
Steve
Cheers for the replies will have to check for leaks and make sure the pipe is hard enough not to expand under pressure. Thanks
