DamanC
It got cold after it got going in the end, im sure it used to be cold f**king freezing within a minuite or so. This year has been crap for air con use the last couple of years i used it nearly every day throughout the summer months. One of those things you think you never need until you get one, then the world ends if it gives up.
Guest Blata
Yes, all ac units can lose gas, however before any "re-gassing" can be carried out the leak must be rectified, or ozone delpeating gas HCFC,HFC could be released in to the atmosphere European F Gas Regulations Dated 4 July etc etc are now in force however most of these will not effect you as the system is under 3 kg gas charge. Could go on for hours about this subject, basically look for oil on any joints, ie flare nuts usually on the condenser, where the pies come out, and on the back of the indoor unit. As oil is carried around the system with the gas, where the gas escapes a small amount of oil also escapes
