Elliot
A month or so ago, my car was running rough so I had the AFR set up at Triton Motorsport in Bournemouth, as I had a feeling it had been knocked by accident. Firstly, after having a good look at it today, don't you actually need to properly play with the buttons to make a change? As far as I'm aware you either need to depress them, or double-click once you've made a change? So...I can't see how it could of gotten so bad in the first place - I don't see how it could have got knocked out of position. It seemed set up well enough, but was hitting fuel cut or something similar before changing gear, but I didn't find that out till a few weeks ago when I pushed it for the first time against a 360. Anyway, a couple of days ago it started running really rough again, idling really low at around 500rpm, then struggling to get above 1500rpm, when it did, as long as I kept my foot on the accelerator it was fine. I think the problem is, it's running really rich for some reason, you can smell the fuel. I checked the diagnostics and it was EG-674 which is Turbo Pressure malfunction. I've checked all the hoses & they seem fine. I don't want to take it back down to Triton, or even talk to them just yet, is there anywhere else that can reliably do this?? Any ideas on what it could be, or where I can get it fixed? I need it done quite desperately as the car's for sale. THANK YOU

bondango
Would definately check the Vac lines to the Map sensor, also worth getting a Multimeter and checking the Map sensor voltage to make sure its functioning correctly, should be a voltage chart on here somwhere. But before doing any of this, is this the AFR (black box with dial in centre) or the Super AFR? http://www.hksusa.com/info/download.asp?id=1632# If so, there is quite a bit of setting up to do, its not a very straight forward unit, and it you did accidently adjust something, say the "gain" knob, then this will effect the running of the car alot
Elliot
Thanks for that, it is the Super AFR. Where would the Map sensor be please? It's looking likely that I'll need to get this set up again then, any suggestions on where to get it done anyone? You'd think there'd be some sort of 'lock' to stop the settings getting knocked (if that is the problem!)
bondango
Its located on the engine side of the intake manifold.. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13925&d=1112558665 Check ALL the Vac lines for Splits etc etc, and i would also check all your Intercooler Piping as your problems indicate a possible boost leak. PS this thread shud be in Supra Tech
