rob wild
Hi Well I decided today to check my car's brakes as it’s not stopping too badly but I’d though that I would check them and I though they were well over due for look. When taking the drivers side wheel off I found that the two machine screws that hold the disc and the hub together were missing so when you move the disc/hub the studs slide backwards and forwards behind the hub! And the pads look pretty worn! My question is where can I get the screws from and is there anywhere that sell pads on a Sunday it’s an import and I live near Preston in Lancashire? Thank in advance for any help Cheers guys!
Soonto_HAS_soop
Soops don't use a locking screw on the discs. They use the fact that the wheel is bolted to the disc to hold them in place. As for pads, pretty sure that you'll be out of luck on that one, I doubt Halfrauds would stock such an item. Ben..

rob wild
That intresting the reason why i though it should have a locking screw is that there is two holes in the hub where it looks like there should be screws in. Why do they have screw holes in the hub? it is an import would gs300 be ok on a TT? Cheers guys
Soonto_HAS_soop
I found that the 2 small holes that are in the hub are threaded, you can use 2 small screws to help pull a corroded disc from the hub. I had to use these 2 small holes when I replaced my rear discs the other day as they were so badly rusted to the hub. Ben..
dangerous brain
You need to check that you have J-spec brakes first. If you have the original 16" wheels then yes you have J-spec brakes. If not then you may have UK brakes. If you have J-spec brakes I personally would look to get a set of uprated pads from somewhere like whiffy bits or Paul e.
