SatSport
To those of you who have this unit in the Supra.... where did you mount it? Bottom of the screen? Do the wiper blades not get in the way? I just got mine today and after 1 1/2 hrs it`s still `searching`. I`ve registered it via their site as well. Any thoughts? thanks Roy. Clarkey
Mine is mounted on the dash where it's above the rev countter. Mine said searching for awhile. - when I got mine. I did a reset ... I took it out into the garden - in direct line of sight to the sky ... and left it there for about 30minutes. WHen I came back - it'd latched onto the the sats HTHs. Two-Two
Began by putting it (Road Angel 1) in the centre of the screen above the wipers but it was a pain to look at so now have it directly infront of me. Only problem with this is that in a crash it might detatch itself from its mountings and hit me in the teeth! Does take a while to pick up the satellites though. Got the Road Angel 1 ... that Laser Detector thing .. that looks like it's been taken off a Dalek or something.. Do they really work ?? Mine has never gone off. SatSport
well, finally it fired up when i removed it from it`s cradle and jammed it between screen and dash above the rev counter. Doesn`t want to work in it`s holder (always says searching for satellites), wonder would the optional antenna be of any use? Seems fine when it is working, lets me know my speedo`s reading approx 8-9 mph too fast:eek: Anyone else got this item working as it should? Where to mount plz?? rgds Roy. tony2311
i find that the unit will only pick up if it is mounted away from the middle aswell?i have got it mounted on its stand in the top right hand corner of wind screen and it work fine all night, why doesnt the road angel work in the centre of wind screen? Need4Speed
I've had mine for nearly 2 years and it's mounted directly above the tacho in line of sight. The only problem I have is reflection of the display in the screen at night. A simple bit of black card solved that. I've also got the laser detector, but I'm not sure if it works. Whitelightning
This little baby has save me handing over my licence (or rippin' it up completely) many a time. I mount mine rhs of screen. How accurate is the digital speed readout - anyone tested it against a 5th wheel ? It always shows less than speedo. (Bruntingthorpe, Speedo=186, the roadangel = 178)
