Scoboblio
I want to fit a decent boost gauge before I start messing around with the cats etc.... if I buy say the HKS 56mm gauge to fit in the clock face (looks like it retails at about £100), is there anything else I need, controllers etc? Or is it a plug and play jobby? Thanks in advance
tbourner
Wires into the clock power leads to light up, and depending on if you get a mechanical or electrical connection you'll obviously need to get your pipe or wire through to the engine bay. There are a few threads around if you search showing how to get through the bulkhead etc. and where to connect the vacuum sensor. Duno what size the clock hole is though but it should fit OK. Scoboblio
Cheers I'll probably get someone else to fit it for me Just wanted to make sure that the gauge kits for sale contained everything I'd need.
Jake
56mm? Aren't they usually 52mm or 60mm? I believe you'll want a 52mm to fit where the clock is at the moment.
Scoboblio
Oops, my mistake.... 52mm is right.

Scoboblio
Haven't actually bought the stuff yet, but probably looking at mechanical. The only part that really bothers me is taking apart the dash to get to the clock I've had several 'unpleasant' experiences messing about with the interior of past cars :flame Dev But since I never learn I'm lining up the screwdrivers.
