A MINI estate will address two of the most pointed criticisms of the MINI, namely, lack of rear passenger and boot space

 

But it's supposed to be a Mini...

 

That's a Mini, not a MINI

1961, abbreviation of mini-car, a small car made by British Leyland (formerly British Motor Corp.). As an abbreviation of mini-skirt, it is attested from 1966. The vogue for mini- as a prefix dates from the 1960s.
