Soonto_HAS_soop
Right, I've got some HKS coilovers. My question is this, the struts seem to have an adaptor like a tyre inflator on them. Does this adaptor allow you to increase the air pressure in the air section, or is it for pumping something else?? If it is for pressure, what sort of pressure do people tend to run in them? I would like to set them before I stick them on the car as ihave no idea what they where run at before I got them. Cheers People Ben..
Matt B
What type of HKS are they? I have the Hyper 2 on mine but don't remeber seeing this bit???
Soonto_HAS_soop
They are marked up as "Hiper D", but if you look at most of the current range, they can be seen on the bottom. http://www.hksusa.com/images_products/1345.jpg They are the little chromed valve covers at the base of the struts by the bottom fixing, easily noticeable in the above picture. These unscrew just like a tyre valve cap and then you are left with what looks like a tyre valve. I know that these units are a dual valved system with both air and oil in them, just wondered if you could adjust the firmness by adding or removing air from them? Ben.. richy2jz-gte
they are for gas/oil charging i think not for air. cant you adjust the damper with a screw on the top?
