I looked at the web site and it seems they are bar coded and they "might" ask for proof of ID when you use them, but doesn't seem very likely to me. You’ve been selected to receive a pair of tickets to Radio 1’s Big Weekend. The two tickets are for SATURDAY and we’ll be putting them in the post to you. There are some very important things you need to be aware of so please read this email carefully TICKET DELIVERY Your tickets should arrive by Wednesday 16 May. They will be sent to the address you registered with. We cannot change this address. IF YOU DON’T RECEIVE YOUR TICKETS Your tickets are personalised and traceable to you. If you don’t receive them we can cancel them and arrange for you to collect replacements. If your tickets have not arrived by Thursday 17 May, call our helpline on 0871 203 1081*. If your original tickets arrive after you’ve cancelled them, please destroy them – they will not let you into the festival. TICKET SECURITY All tickets have your name, address and a unique barcode on them. Please keep them safe and dry. We have to be able to scan this barcode on the gate. You may be asked for proof of identity, age or address at the gate. DON’T RISK BUYING TICKETS Valid tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend are free. There are no tickets on sale through any outlets. As we’ve said, this barcode system also means people can invalidate the tickets we send them and ask for replacements. Therefore if you buy tickets you will have no way of knowing if the barcode is valid. AGE RESTICTIONS You must be 14 or over to attend. Anyone aged 14 or 15 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older. Anyone aged 21 or under will need to produce proof of age to purchase alcohol. OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES Gates open at 12pm each day. The live music finishes at 9.15pm with DJs playing until 10pm. Tell your friends to watch and see if they can spot you. The week after, we’ll have videos of every artist online.
