***NOW SOLD***

bought this to put in my Supra but ended up taking the lazy option & getting a Kenwood double din all in one unit!

the case has marks on it from it's last install (hence why i didn't put mint condition) but this doesn't affect the functionality in any way

it's currently got an unofficial XP Media Center OS on it, ready for you to put your choice of CarPC software onto it, e.g. RoadRunner

CarPC

- Iwill ZPC GX with Intel P4 2.8Ghz CPU

- 512Mb DDR SDRAM

- 40Gb 2.5" hard drive

- onboard Intel Extreme graphics & audio

- 10/100 network card

- slim tray loading DVD/CDRW combo drive

- vented case with fan (bit smaller than a Playstation 2 case)

- all audio/video/power cables

inputs: 2 x firewire, 4 x USB, front/rear microphone/line in, Serial port, PS2 mouse & keyboard

outputs: VGA, front/rear speaker out

Power supply/shutdown controller

- Carnetix CNX-P1900 V2 power regulator with delayed shutdown controller (controls power to the PC, delaying the shutdown after the car's ignition has been switched off & can also power a screen)

Other bits

- mini USB keyboard (with blue backlight)

- Logitech USB webcam (for recording Spirited Driving Chronicles!)

- domestic power supply for the PC, should you need to use it indoors instead of in the car

Finally, i also have the following bits that came with it but aren't included in the price, the buyer can just have them to do what they will with:

Xenarc/Gain 7" touchscreen display - this is everything except the actual casing (it was going to be used for a custom dash install) and requires a new touchscreen panel (about $40 from the Xenarc USA mail order site. Displays output from the PC absolutely fine

RoyalTek GPS mouse - this came with the PC but i've never got it to work (could just be a driver issue) but it looks like the cable has been cut to make it longer which may be the problem

would make a great project for someone, the possibilities are endless, i just didn't have the time

interesting to know mate cheers. may i ask what made you upgrade to the 6? apart from it looks fantastic :D

could you put wireless on it, and could the base be kept in the spare wheel well or this a bad idea, Can you install sat nav onto it? drop me a PM, v. interested depending how hard it is to wire up to the speakers.

PMd heartworm :)

hi there mate,

answers to your Qs:

wireless no probs, you can easily use a USB wireless adapter (i did have one connected to it whilst i was using it but have kept hold of this for another PC)

i think the spare wheel would be fine but as long as it was well cushioned - i think the key would be not to have it bashing around in there, perhaps seated on a foam base or a flexible piece of wood? the fan is on the top of the case so it would require ventilation at the top to ensure it stays nice & cool

sat nav, again this is no problem, you just need the right software (i'm not sure which one you'd choose but this is a common application to run on the car PC). what you would need is a USB GPS mouse to go with it. there's one that i'm giving away with the PC but i couldn't get it to work hence why it's free as i can't be sure if it works

as for sound, you would either need a head unit with a line in connection for you to connect the output of the sound card directly into there or you would need an amp to connect the sound card to & then run your speakers through the amp instead of through a head unit

More money than sense m8,I am gonna re-outlay out the dash so I was probably gonna upgrade eventually, it does look really cool, but its very small, they made it look really big(or bigger) in the pics, I really should have just controlled the boost with the aem but its bought now!
