r1george Posted May 4, 2007 Share Posted May 4, 2007 I want to replace my valve stem seals so I got in touch with Mr T and WOW how expensive, even from Steve Manley there over £100 just for the seals, but I can buy a complete top end gasket set aftermarket for £85 which includes the valve seals and camshaft seal plus loads more. Jake Posted May 4, 2007 Share Posted May 4, 2007 I got a "genuine Toyota" top end gasket set with a couple of gasket missing from eBay. When it arrived it clearly wasn't genuine Toyota and the quality of some of the parts was pretty poor. There's no way I would go to all the work of fitting valve stem seals and using unknown quality parts. How gutted would you be if it failed again a week later?
