MrRalphMan
Anyone use an adaptor to play their Ipod in their car? Which one do you use and is it any good? Looking at one of the ones that transmit over FM and you just tune the radio into it. I'd rather not use the tape adaptor if possible. There are loads of cheap ones on Ebay, just a bit worried that cheap will mean poop in this case.
jakewebster
Some of the tuning ones are "OK", I had one but it just didnt have the clarity i wanted. Most head units have ways of wiring them in. My pioneer can be wired in to display the ipod info on the head unit screen. Thats if i ever get my damn hed unit back from getting fixed. Not sure if yours will be the same or not. What head unit u got mate?
MrRalphMan
Hi Jake, It's for the Mrs Mondeo.. It's just got the standard head unit in it. Paul.
Mike
If the head unit takes a CD changer, most manufacturers do an adapter that should fit.. I have the Kenwood one that works quite well... Have a look here
AndrewOW
I've got the Alpine ipod adapter for my car. It plugged in and started working straight away. About £90 fitted I believe. Easy to use on the (Alpine) head unit itself.
DaveK
I use an FM transmitter one in the Porsche - Kensington Digital I think it is. I bought it after it got rave reviews. I've found it excellent - the sound quality is almost as good as the cable connection I have in the Supra. Mind you - the Porsche is noisy enough that it might be hard to tell what the sound quality is really like. But if I was buying another FM one, this is the one I'd have. AdzC
I've got a Griffin ITrip which is a nice unit that just plugs onto the top of my IPod Mini. They also do a product called a RoadTrip which is a charger and FM transmitter all in one neat unit.
DaveK
I assume you are actually talking about one of the new Ipods? I still have an itrip for the old ones which I don't want / need anymore.
