Your g/f has just gone up in MY estimation now too :p :D

You have no idea. Last year, we went to Budapest for a friends birthday. While we were there she insisted we went to a pole dancing / strip club. Nobody else would come with us. The girls there obviously try to get you to buy them drinks - but didn't quite know how to handle the fact that I was there with my g/f! :D

Apparently if you can afford one of the top range projectors that uses 3 colour spots instead of 1 (not sure of the technicalities of it all though sorry), and hang a tight fine mesh (like net) about an inch infront of the screen you're projecting onto (rear projection) then you get an image that is 3D!!

Only a rumour though and I think those projectors are mucho money!

I've had one for over 2 years now, a 3 panel lcd

I wouldn't change it for the world (except to upgrade)

normal tv's are so erm small

I can get a 15-16 foot picture in the spare room, or watch a tiny 70" in the front room, very flexible and portable :)

great for films and games alike :D use it all the time, still on the same bulb too!...

Choose the model wisely, my bulbs can be had for £100 a time, which makes it much cheaper than a few trips to the cinema and I've watched hundreds of films on it... some projectors have really expensive bulbs though.

and as for where to get them, I'd decide on the model first (maybe get a demo) then shop around online :)

Mate of mine said that he went round a friend of his who had one set up with his PS2, they played tombraider on the side of his house, pretty awsome by all accounts

that's pretty cool. We watched the exorcist on the side of the shed the other summer, on a nice warm evening but I think the neighbours thought we were nuts, with the sound fx and all!
